Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Jordan, the body shop that removed (heat gun and thick fish line) and reattached mine actually had sheets of a 3m product they cut out and used. I didn't catch the product type/name/number...but the guy told me there is a thin "foam" containing the adhesive that is red...and the red signified...
I saw a guy post on a youtube vid that had dryer lint and vaseline in a waterproof ziplock bag. I thought that was a great idea. You could have that deep in your rig and I imagine it would be useful "forever".
@ShawnR On Youtube, there's a great video by Ronny Dahl. He explains them very well. (I'm new to them as well) Super dangerous. I've likened them on this forum to a Spanish Inquisition device.
