Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Yep he has way more skill at FC work than I could dream of.
If you haven't found it this site is very usefull http://www.thefcconnection.com .
I am trying to keep my Fc's body as low as possible by mounting it on jeep CJ style rubber mounts. I guess you could have more engine clearance...
I haven't yet but that is my plan once I finish the body work on my fc. Have a storage system that mounts on the flat bed then my roof top tent will sit on top of that.
Unless you like a thump, thump ride for the first few miles when cold I would steer clear of the bias tires.
Also a stock rim is something around 4.5 inches wide, no way a 31x10.5 would fit safely on that.

Been there, tried that with 33x12.50r15's.
With your steering geometry I would think a common chevy k10 steering box would bolt on easily.
Toss in a summit racing 1102 or 1103 cam kit for a bit better power out of the 350. I am using the 1102 in my 307 sbc in my fc170 but have used the 1103 (before in a mildly build 350 with great results for towing and low to mid rpm power (it was in a 77 GMC k10)
I have been told the curve is the same in the roof corners as the rear lower corners . Some have cut repair pannels from a bad cab to make the new patches on a better cab.
As for what am I using for fuel tanks . They are rectangular aluminum fuel cells made by rci.
The steering is a 90...
