Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
You know, that makes a lot of sense. I set those up pretty quick with no instructions or reference in 110 weather.
They are 100lb each, 20o total. Would I just take the side on the trailer in the front and put it on the trailer and flip the rear to the lid side??
Thanks
I used some 4" hinges from Home Depot for the lid. They seem to have shifted and allowed to lid to move forward so I am looking to upgrade. Thinking weld on hinges. Right now I am looking at the two options below. Please let me know what you think or if you would go a different route.
Trailer...
So all my kitchen supplies used to be in a Plano storage chest. The trailer has a kitchenette thing (pictured above, bright yellow green thing). I cut the right half off and slid it to the right side of the trailer so I could put my ice chest next to it. I didn't put a lot of effort into getting...
So I got to take the trailer out for our maiden voyage.! Overall we did 2700 miles across 4 states in 11 days and the trailer did great! I have some adjustments to make with regard to the hinges but overall it was a successful trip!
Now that I have taken it out, I know better how to pack for...
Looks like a great trailer! I just took my trailer out for our first outing as well!
I do worry some about the height of the tent. It is relatively heavy and extended up pretty good. On some trails your Jeep wouldn't think twice about, that might get a bit tippy
The WJ will be the superior offroader. The Tahoe will be the more comfortable cruiser. If you're doing fire roads and forest trails, the Tahoe would probably suffice.
I have a WJ and am really happy with it, but I do offroad it pretty good. Stuff no Tahoe I have seen could even consider.

This Saturday is the Crawlers & Coffee hosted at the Tempe Desert Rat. I would certainly be down for an OB meetup there

So we did Lost Lake the first 2 nights. It is $5, first come first served. Had porta-potties, no water, no fires. The last night we got a spot at Mazama Village campground for $22 with showers, toilets, camp fires, water and trash.
We decided not to do dispersed meeting up with family not as...
Well, I can't say that it was easy or that it came out perfect, but I built a lid.
I have next to no welding experience, and have never created anything on this scale before. This was an undertaking for me. I borrowed a buddies welder and built the lid to best of my ability in 2 and half days...
Hello,
Looking to be up around Crater Lake the following weekend 7/6 -7/9. I am looking for suggestions on dispersed camping. We are deciding to do this trip on short notice so reservations would be hard to come by this time of year on short notice and the Recreation.gov website is down.
I...
Useful tip, but I wonder if it will invite unwanted attention from unknowing people thinking there is some sweet offroad gear in the bag attached to the sweet offroad rig.
It is certainly on the list of things to do. I would like to extend the tongue a little when doing it, which would mean I need to extend the wiring too.
Next thing on the list is a hard lid. I really want to get it loaded up so I can leave on short notice, but I don't have an RV gate and don't...
Amazon showed up early today :)
Got the Voltmeter, 12v accessory and USB ports wired up
Also took her for a spin, only the 2nd time towing it and 1st time since getting the paint job. The go well together!
