  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Hi riz_atx. Pretty sure I've seen you around the TW forums. Welcome to OB

Hidden Falls is your best bet for low key wheeling. Outside the park, there's several camps along the Colorado and hiking at Inks Lake and Guadalupe SP. Wolf Caves is further west but has a requirement of every vehicle needing a roll cage. I've never been there. Based on that statement I assume...

Anyone out in the central Texas area?

Hidden Falls is going to be your best bet. There's some public dirt roads scattered to the north but nothing that will challenge you

    Lonestar Toyota Jamboree - May 4th - 7th

I'd love to check it out but at 6.5 hours it's not exactly good for a quick weekend. I'm gonna have to wait to be surprised. I tried to introduce my wife to Hidden Falls this past weekend and at the last minute she decided that with an empty house it was the perfect time to get laundry done...

Hidden Falls (Central Texas) Wheelin Weekend

Haha. I haven't looked at mine yet. It fell off its mount about halfway through. The foam tape I used to stick it to the windshield has gotten weak in the sun

Hidden Falls (Central Texas) Wheelin Weekend

Fun time out with @Longshot270 today, despite all the pinstripes. Didn't get any pics while on the trail but of course we got the obligatory top of the hill shot.

Bump :) 18th is this weekend! Everyone still coming? I'm picking up my CB today. Didn't get an antenna yet so hopefully I'll have comms as long I maintain LoS. I'll be rolling in my black '17 Tacoma TRD, easily distinguished by the orange roof-rack and likely my RTT over the bed. My buddy will...

If you're planning on attending Jambo, you'll need this. I've been told you can get them at Barnwell. Though you might be better off getting a pass beforehand

    Lonestar Toyota Jamboree - May 4th - 7th

Pretty sure I'll be bringing my 5-yo son. Hopefully 3 nights isn't too long for him. My wife and 2-yo daughter might make the trip too. We'll see. Neither one of them has ever been camping with me. Might need to do a short overnight with everyone together to see how it goes first... From what I...

Are you in Canada? I wish we could get those two-tone front grills down south. Subtle difference makes them look a lot better. Still wish the pro grill was standard tho

    New member from TX here.

I was looking at that Cobra 75 myself. Actually considering the Midland 75-822 now. Little pricier than the 785 but I like the form factor a little more and the car kit that it comes with. Seems to integrate with a permanent installation a little better

Is that the Midland 785? Are you running it through a mounted antenna?

Officially, putting in my preference for the 18th. (My friend can't make the 25th.)
