Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
That's the approach I'm most interested in at the moment. I've looked at a 12V travel blanket that I could run off of my Jackery for about 4 hours. And really, I would just want to turn it on for an hour or so before we get in the bed to have it pre-heated.
Tom is either looking with consideration at which trail to take or looking with concern at that 4Runner that was about a centimeter away from buying a whole new set of passenger-side body panels. :grimacing:
I've been brainstorming a lot lately about "outside the box" options for efficiently heating up a sleeping bag in colder temperatures.
Buddy Heaters are very popular, but I'm not a fan of having a smoldering hot metal device standing up in my tent. Also, in a tent you're just heating up a bunch...
No doubt, we may even get a little bit of frost. Looks like we'll have awesome cruising weather during the day though.
What time did you get there yesterday? Did you get poured on?

Personally, I would think doing anything to try to waterproof it would be unnecessary. Considering how high the ECM is in the engine bay, if you ever have water up to that level that would warrant better waterproofing, the ECM is probably the least of your concerns because you'll be floating...
Awesome! We basically have the entire campground.
If we run out of things to do on Saturday, we can stage a coup to overthrow the entire park.
As for camping, we should be able to fit you in at someone's site. As for the trails, you'll be good with whatever you've got. The trails (at least the portion I've been on) were resurfaced over the summer, so they're not challenging. And if we hit anything that is challenging, we'll have a...
Definitely. We account for at least these 9 sites  (not sure if T8 and T11 got snagged by someone on this trip or not):
So we'll have plenty of space to fit in folks who weren't able to grab a site, since each site is allowed up to two cars and up to two tents.
He doesn't but his videos were posted on the 12th, and since they're just raw footage from any basic smartphone or action camera (i.e. no editing), I'm assuming they were posted the same day they were filmed.
