Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
There is an interesting interview with Sportsmoblie where the owner discusses the early years. During that time they installed steel aftermarket bummers on the Quirley 4 wd modified vans. It did not take long for front end suspendsion failures. They determined it was the added weight of the...
My take,
Security camera covering all angles of the rig.
Security lights on motion sesors covering rig and front of home.
Insurance upgrades for specialty items
Caution K9 stickers on both rear side windows.
90 pound German Shepherd Dog
Roll it and use Velcro straps to keep it rolled, I added a couple of hardware store equiptment hooks to my Front Runner rack and it just tucks up there nicely now.
My thoughts, if you buy anything stacking and you lose one piece, then what. Can you get that one piece from the manufacture or suppler? Anything with a nonstick finish is going to get scratched quickly, not only is that unslightly, but here in the nation state of California you will get those...
I have a Front Runner RTT and I always have the annex attached. It folds up with the tent and stays under the cover between each side of the ladder. It is used for a second sleeping area using a cot or a shower area. I always bring a Zodi camp shower.
This whole set up works really well. I...
I always have purell with me for hand washing, it is also a really great fire starter. I build a traditional fire as stated above, add a few squirts of purell and add wood as it gets going.
Me thinks you should have hula hoops with your brand name on it as a give away, and someone to show them off.
Someone new on your team is looking at his shoes trying not to smile....
I think they left off a zero, a stock engine version of that model can fetch 30k being about that clean as in the posted photos. Even a non 4 wd goes for more than 7K in that condition.
Mountain lions are ambush predators. Not very likely they are going to stroll into your camp and deciede to take you down. They will wait on high ground, such as a tree limb, and as you walk under it, pounce on you if they think they are stronger. Not likely to go after an adult person either...
Contact a law firm that specializes in the lemon law, there are several. Check youtube as well. There is a lot of information there. Keep records on every single thing, get everything in writing with e-mails being best. Make sure the dealer writes down everyone of your compliants on a work order...
Having first begun mountain biking in 1989 and still this being a passion today that takes to the trail two to three times a week, this well thought out post from sabjku is 100 percent correct and the way to go about this.
A lot of us prefer smaller over larger for gear storage. Easy to find things, easy to load into or on top of rig, better organization. What to look for, square sides and stackable. Best bet, but not water proof are Front Runners Wolf and Cub packs. A bit pricey but well worth it...
Over here is Reseda, just ventured into the Sequia's over the last couple of weeks. Found some great off grid camping. A bit restricted as I am working with 2 wd SUV
Count me into this part of Overlanding. Recent Sequia trips. This last one found some really nice off grid camping areas that are accessible for me without to much trouble.
Just so you know, these 18650 batteries are modified by Streamlight and you can only use a Streamlight branded battery. Which you can get on Amazon, at a reasonable cost, just not as inexpensive as a starndard 18650.
