Hmmm, interesting on the sharkbites. They do feel reasonably tight, but almost a little TOO easy, I could see them leaking. I hope I am wrong!
I am inclined to use the poly because I already have it, but I do feel like PEX would be a better longterm solution. ie. the right way to do it...
Next Question: I have the Ironman 4x4 50L "rooftop" water tank. Looks like this
I want to add an extender to the inlet for easier filling. Looking for an adpter that will screw onto that type of coarse threading. Anyone have an idea?
As far as disconnects... My sink setup will live in a box and be put out once we get to camp. If I can just "plug" it in once the sink is deployed seems like it will be easier. I am talking about something like this.n. And thanks for the link but I imagine advantages and disadvatanges to using...
So I am getting ready to work up the water system on my trailer. And I need some advice.
I have a 13 gal water tank.
3 GPM 12V on Demand pump
For now I am going to just do cold water, but by the Fall I would like to add a hot water heater, why not right.
I have the materials to use regular...
Went from SE Tennessee to Glacier and back last summer and used a Rand McNally Atlas from Walmart for 90% of it. It was my wife's idea and I embraced it. It was fun to show my 10 year old how we did it back in the day.
There are a bunch of sites like this. If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is. Search the site on the interwebs, you will find out it is a scam. You can also kind of tell by the look of the website, they look a bit shady.
These hoists are nothing short of engineering marvels. But I have to wonder if it wouldn't just be easier to ask a neighbor and have a buddy over for a beer and ask him to help. Seems like a lot of work setting these hoists up.
Just saw this post and wanted to get in in the action. This was my biggest pandemic purchase. Started April 2020, still not finished. But are projects like this ever finished? 25' x 27'.
Did it all myself with a couple of work days with friends. Had to pay an electrician to pull the permit...
You mentioned the trailer was 1000% more stable in the up position. I gotta wonder if there are some forces with the dynamic load of the RTT pushing down and pulling back. I hear what you are saying about the center of gravity being slightly behind the axles, but there could be something in...
REALLY good start!
So the picture of the tent rack pitched back is the rack in the "down" position? Seems like it wold put A LOT of the weight on the back of the trailer.
Yes, 78" is SUPER high. Ours is about 73" in the up position, and that feels high, but not excessively so. 5 more inches...
@MOAK I LOVE your response. Such an awesome experience for the boys, GREAT job pappy!
I guess I just got lucky. My wife was my college sweetheart, we went our separate ways back in 98 when the world called me and she still had 2 years left on a college soccer scholarship.
We both lived our...
Just found a rabbit hole. If you go to superbrightleds.com they have every type of connector and controller you can imagine. I could totally make 4 zones with independent colors/dimming if I wanted to build it myself. Sorry for the post overload and I will now stop hijacking your thread about...
Yeah, the switches would have to go inline AFTER the controller. I am about to hit the order button on amazon. I added RGB 4 pin extension wire and a connector kit that has every type of connector you can think of. I like the idea to turn them all yellow for the bugs as well. I am going for...
Got it!
Can you control the rock lights independently? And if so what kind of lights are they?
I have 4 locations I would like to have colored lights. And ideally I would be able to control them independently. If not I can at least put switches on them to be able to turn them off if I do not...
