Damn I could use that tire kit and one of the recovery bags but I'm sure someone else needs them more.

The only thing I don't like about the diamond back cover is that you lose the option of using your bed to load big stuff on it unless you remove it all. With a roll back cover you could still use your bed esp if the rack setup u hooks easily.

More Tha likely you will have to have a custom rack setup made to work with a roll cover. The problem is that the roll cover frame overlaps on the bed cap and most racks have an angle piece on the inside of the bed cap. I have seen a few custom racks that get bolted to the top of the bed cap...

Yes you can mount it to the cab with some rails. Just make sure they are strong enough to hold up the weight.

I'm not sure wood would work. I'm running a Leitner design rack but have also ran frontrunner and some custom stuff as well. You could get a way with some simple tube steel running across that is bolted to the top of the bed rail. What year f150?

Any metal shop should be able to bend it for you. Rci makes some skid plates as well

How much do you have to spend? reason I ask is because a good suspension setup, wheels and tires are going to cost you close to 4k+ depending on what you go with.
