OK guys.
I’m really surprised how many of you think a chain is the answer.
A quick search came up with this article..

Have I used a chain before ...yes I have. I owned a construction company for 37 years and have...
Good discussion.
I think for the most part CB radios are dying out in many places. Sure some people still use them but many are transitioning over to GMRS radios. They have a better range (as you can buy higher wattage units) and They are relatively cheap from handhelds to mobile units. Check...
Road I like your setup!
I love a good cup of coffee (or 3). It I really don’t want to make it a ritual, particularly first thing in the morning.
One question, do you just put the whole bag into your cup and let it sit there for 4 minutes then take it out?
Thanks.
@armyRN your trip to Tuk sounds very much like what we want to do. We were able to keep our long planned trip to AK last summer by getting a short gig near Fairbanks that gave us the legal authority to cross into and through Canada on the Alaskan Highway. We wanted to go to Tuk while we were up...
I am in the process of building my Jeep Gladiator for extended overland travel and decided to buy an Alu-Cab canopy that has awning type doors on all 3 sides but yet is lockable. You cannot see inside very easily through the back window because I have it tinted as well.
‘I was also thinking of...
I have a fair amount of experience “out there” having overlanded in 4 continents and last summer spent 10 weeks overlanding from VA to AK and back .
Situational awareness is always a good thing no matter what you’re doing or where you are. Other than that no one will mess with a group of rigs...
Like you we’re hoping to get back to Maritime Canada. We were originally set to go in June but have pushed it back to August hoping that the restrictions get lifted. However, I recently found out that the ferry from Maine to NS has been cancelled for the entire 2021 season...
We went to AK last...
Situational awareness is the first line of defense for us. Wether it’s stopping in an unfamiliar town in some back woods area of Botswana or your local mountain town in Colorado..
‘Our second line of defense is the ability to lock everything up and not leave anything out for curious eyes to see...
I have recently traveled through several of the states listed in that article including CO, MT, WY and several eastern states. There has not been any issues driving into any of them.
Go have a great time and live your life!
I just finished having a 17 gallon Long Range America auxiliary fuel tank added to the Gladiator! Still have to work on the 2nd battery system but just received the Redarc BCDC controller...

Thank you. That was what I was thinking that it might be difficult to find camping for 20 vehicles. I will keep an eye on this thread as this is on my bucket list and since I’ve recently retired I can make the time. If I decide to try and join the group I’ll post up my “Overlanding resume”...
My Redarc 1240 BCDC came in the mail today. My truck is out of commission getting an extended range fuel tank installed along with re-routing the exhaust so it will be several weeks u til I get around to it..
