You can see my build via the link in my signature, but it doesn't so up on mobile, so here it is:

I don't want to hijack his thread, so I'd be happy to answer any questions if you create a new thread. ;)...
My daughter is 8, and LOVES camping with me. She gets mad if I go without her, but she understands this is how dad gets his alone time.
My wife has been more of a natural progression. She started off going on day trips with me, then we started doing overnight trips. She drove off road for the...
Maybe......
This is a great plan. I really wanted to wait for the D41, but my previous truck was in good running order at 200k, for a chevy, so I got rid of it while I could. Replaced it with a 2013 Frontier Pro4x with about 70k miles several years ago. The only thing I've had to replace is my...
Love the D41!
As far as mods, you really don't need much. Good tires is about it.
Get a quick pitch tent, or a swag, and just use basic camping gear. I wouldn't recommend modding the vehicle until you start encountering obstacles that you can tackle. Carry a decent toolkit, a few spare parts...
Yeah, but that'll keep things topped up, without having to worry about it. I don't currently run a fridge in there all the time, but we'll see over the winter how much I get during the day. I think I should get enough to keep one in there full time, and not have to worry.
Whelp, I've had some trips fall through over the summer. I was supposed to go on a week long offroad trip, and that was going to be a MAJOR shakedown run of the trailer, but my wife severely broke her foot the weekend before, and has been down for 5 weeks now. Hopefully, we get to find out when...
Not today, but lots of things going on over here.
Took the roof top tent off my Xterra, and put it on my wife's.
I also built the driver's side rack on the trailer, and got a jerry can mounted on it. I'm planning to start building the diesel heater box in october, and having it finished in...
Welcome! I finished the main part of my build just before memorial day.
That's got to be the largest diy camper trailer I've seen so far! Looks like a really fun project.
The only thing I can think of is extruded aluminum profiles. Then you can get edge lok weather stripping that clamps onto that. I'm not sure.
That's one of the advantages of the PMF process and prefab doors, I guess. All my edges are sealed.
One thing that might work is to coat the edges...
Lots on Fire over here atm. Your best bet is call some of the Ranger stations, let them know what you're doing, and see what they say. We had to re-route around part of the LoLo last year due to an active fire in the area.
I use these all the time. They're fantastic. Really great for connecting wires of different gauge to each other as well. I keep some of these, as well as a small, cylindrical butane torch in my tool roll for repairing wires in the field. I have to break it out twice so far, and it's much better...
I think you're gonna have a hard time with that one. You might be better of looking for jerry can storage solutions, and mounting jerries there, and using a single propane mount.
Looks great!
I also don't have levels on mine either. I'm planning on using the simarine inclinometer that pairs with my monitoring system. I can then pull it up on the display, and my phone.
The galley and organization will come in due time. My goal was having a prep and cook surface that...
Also, can you possibly heat the filon with a heat gun, and push it back down? That's something that people do with PMF. Apparently the glue gets soft enough to re-adhere. I don't know if it'll work with yours, but it's worth a shot.
I think it looks pretty good. The rough edges and gaps aren't anything that can't be hidden with some trim pieces. As far as the shelves go, it's simple, and I like it. Might I suggest taking a look at the front runner flat boxes. I can provide you with dimensions but I believe they're about 17"...
