Buddabuda I carry my 2gal. Rotopax for my generator on the side on my current trailer. Like I mention there isn't no perfect alternative on extra fuel containers or their spouts. I used to run 5 gal metal jerry can on my last trailer & hot Arkansas weather I would hear the metal expand by a pop...
sounds to me that your gripe with fuel cans are what you make them out to be. Many of us deal with weather condition changes w\our fuel containers whether on our vehicles or on our trailers. Buddabuda stated the facts as well as myself & others have, it seems to me facts are not what you like to...
you have to make it a habit when the weather warms up if your fuel cans or fuel pax are filled with fuel to crack them open to release the pressure. Sometimes when the wife & I are dispersed camping it's twice a day. IMO it's part of living or exploring in areas were the weather conditions are hot.
like any plastic container that holds fuel, they swell up from the heat & they need to be vented. My gas cans for lawn mower, weedwacker, chain saw gas etc I have the same problem. You can thank the meth heads for the fuel spouts how they changed. I run a 2gal. Roto Fuel Pax on my trailer but...
Sally & I tested out the new offroad trailer for a quick 24hr. bugout to the Narrows in Gerry's Ferry & camped next door to Andrew & his family. Had a site close the waters edge. The two lakes and the Narrows totals about 40,500 acres with a combined shoreline of just over 340 miles.
The...

finished this project 5\31\2019. 2019 Runaway Range Runner square drop I converted from street to offroad. I fabricated entire new tongue w\Lock n Roll hitch & coupler, removed the entire factory suspension & installed shocks, new longer leaf springs, done all the electrical interior &...
thanks, I used a piece of 3\4" cabinet grade plywood, then sanded smooth (face, & all 4 edges) I sprayed it with a aerosol (spray can) single stage truck bedliner 3 coats.
I'm a real detail type person (whether my work or others) I really couldn't find anything to pick at about the Runaway...
fitting the swing spare tire mount. A little modification to the upright. I have exactly 5" between the rear of the spare tire & the rear storage door. The wife spent part of the day nesting. Added another shut off switch for the solar system, this way I'll have one for the 12v. electrical & the...
I looked at WeeRoll, there built well , looked at Hiker I was impressed with them also, I settled with Runaway because I like the trailer measurements: 6ft. W x 8ft. L x 4ft.H. I watch the video on how they were built (I was impressed) I felt it was a good platform for me to do the work "I"...
finished the electrical, installed the new VMax 125ah AGM Battery, finished installing & wiring the 55amp Powermax Converter, installed the mattress, stock the rear storage area with our camping gear. It all fit with some room left.
Relaxed inside with the 12v. Endless Breeze Fan going.
i didnt vent my 1st trailer build tongue box & I am doing with this tongue box w\o venting. 2 1\2yrs of use never had any issues. I had a battery temperature sensor wired in the 30 amp charge controller in the 1st trailers tongue box which adjust charge voltage based on actual battery...
