Drove off with a pin sitting on the bumper and lost it, so I decided to prevent it from happening again. Made a small stainless tether for a new lock pin.
I've seen a few members here in the SE. Would a Southeast section work? Maybe GA/AL/TN/NC/SC/FL? I'm in N. GA, and most of these areas are within my "reasonable distance" for short weekend trips or whatever. I'd love to do some meetups over here.
Well, since you asked... :sunglasses:
When I was searching for a roof rack, I really liked the design of a lot of the steel ones, but I like the idea of having aluminum up there because of weight, mainly. I plan on weighing it down with lots of gear, and I didn't want to spend too much of that...
We used to do it a lot. I'd like to get back into it. We even made a couple caches, but they are hard to keep up because people like to steal them. :disrelieved:

OK, so I went ahead and bought one of those cheap Amazon LED light bars, and it's freaking bright! It's a 31.5" 180W (around 11,000 lumens). I thought it would just bolt to the bumper, but it was too deep, so I made some nasty looking mounts out of aluminum and trimmed the bumper end caps to fit...
I have always thought the headlights were too dim, so I started looking into upgrades. What popped up again and again was that the combination of the thin gauge wiring and a limited sealed beam made for not-so-bright headlights. So, after reading this article and speaking with Daniel about my...
