Off the grid rally east coast?

I'm in. I could probably get free for maybe 3-4 days, I would think. When are we thinking, generally? Like Spring? As for location, maybe since some of us are way up North (like NH) but others are way down South (like FL), we should aim for somewhere closer to the middle, like VA or WV? There...

What pans do you guys use??

Oh I see the lip now. Very cool! Here's the link to the one that @utspoolup is referring to, by the way

I like that lid-as-another-skillet feature, but wouldn't the lid slide off easily? Doesn't look like it has a lip to hold it on. From what I can see, mine is the standard L8DOL3 with the normal lid.

What pans do you guys use??

For camping I just have a 10" lodge skillet and a lodge Dutch oven as well. I also have a 8" griddle that I take because it's flat, and comes in handy. For boiling water I have my Grandma's old aluminum kettle/pitcher thing. Works fine! For backpacking, I have some whizbang lightweight stuff...

Anniversary Trip to Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest

My wife and I typically try to get away this time of year for a few days for our anniversary (we got married on 12/23—not a great choice in terms of timing). So this year I thought it'd be fun to take the Jeep out for its first real trip since I started building it for overlanding. Thirteenth...

Congrats! Yeah no kidding. Enjoy your alone time for real! We were married 8 years before our first, and I don't regret it at all. We did lots of cool stuff in that time that would have been difficult with babies.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that! We've had this thing over the past couple of years where every holiday someone is sick. This year it was my daughter with Fifth Disease. Not too bad though, considering. Sounds worse than it is. Hope everyone gets better quick! As far as the furnace goes, I think...

Share Your Christmas Loot - Overland Edition

I've been carrying a Benchmade knife around for a few years, but always liked the idea of the Leatherman. I just always thought they were too big. Well I got this from my daughter and I've been carrying it with the pocket clip. It's amazing! Just a bit larger than my pocket knife, and a 154CM...

Off the grid rally east coast?

Ha, thanks! I was wanting to post about in the trip planning section. Probably have to just post a summary afterwards. Lucky thirteen! We were babies when we got hitched. High school sweethearts and all.:hearteyes: Yeah I was thinking the same. Probably couldn't be an official thing.

Off the grid rally east coast?

I would think most of us would be in the same boat in that regard. I have a three day anniversary getaway planned for this week and its been on the books for a few months.
