If you are going to come along for the Hurricane Creek trip and plan to camp, make sure you head over to the rally point section and go to the southeast region and RSVP. Want to make sure e have enough room for everyone who plans to attend. I know for myself, the 25th can't get here fast enough.
Please make sure to reference the post above advising the UPDATE And make sure you RSVP on the Rally Point page. Cap is at 12 rigs I believe. But look forward to meeting and overlanding with you!
My Tacoma is down permanently for god knows how long. Due to a Brake Override Malfunction. Have an appointment at the dealer on Monday to get it assessed. They said it could be up to 4 weeks until they get to it. This trip may have to be postponed. But I will keep everyone updated
I'm currently trying to figure out ours comms scenario. I have 2 GMRS handhelds and I know @Primeauxrover has several. Just trying to make sure we have all bases covered
UPDATE TO ALL:
I have reserved 5 campsites at Wingray Campground in Waynesville for Friday evening. I am going to cap the trip at 12 rigs due to space constraints on the trail and campsites for Saturday evening. If you need more space, there are additional sites available at Wingray Campground...
All the spots for at the Catamount Group Camp we’re reserved already for September 25. Currently searching for some other spots for us to camp Friday night. If anyone has a spot send me a text. My number is listed in the rally point
It's a BCM upper on an Aero Precision Lower, I can shoot it either way. 95% of the time I leave the can on it. It's an 8" upper so it fits in a backpack perfectly. and If i get out to hike somewhere I'll take it with me. Weighs next to nothing.
I carry concealed everyday. When I go camping I pack my 300 Blackout AR Pistol or my AK Pistol and head out to wherever I plan to explore. Doesn't matter where I go, I'm far more concerned about 2 legged predators than I am 4 legged animals.
I updated the route plan on Gaia. Not sure how I can upload the route from a. Chrome book but here’s a picture for now. Orange is Friday Night, and Blue is for Saturday and Sunday. There are a few good spots to camp on HC. Will ultimately depend on how many rigs we have.
