Was able to make more progress on the top on Saturday. Still need to mineral oil & bees wax the pine ceiling but that will be at a later date. Today I cut the hole in the roof, Mount the frame & then mount the top.

Was able to get in the shop tonight for a few hours. Prepped the top for more work tomorrow. Was able to paint the inside rails back (which is standard at CCV) insulated & wired the top as well, also cut the hole for the max air fan. Insulation is thermozite that has both great insulation...

Frame with tweed & actuators on, these are Frigelli automation 1000 lb actuators. These will allow me to push an extra 150 lbs on cargo on the the top once I get the rack on. Not that I want to put that much weight up there… these are also standard with all CCV pop tops.

More progress on the build. It was a little slow going this weekend. Had to miss the Banana Belt 2.0 as the misses was out of town so I had to watch the kids (Dogs & cats) in our case. Ended up doing lots of smaller stuff tweed the max air vent shim, tweed the boards that will hold the fuse box...

The only thing I didn’t get done was the driver door inner jams above the rocker. I’ll get to it but it’ll probably be a while as I’d like to tackle some of the pop top prep this week.

It’s the little victories, this weekend was paint all the interior jams, do door panels & windows panels. I forgot how time consuming this work is… spent a total of 20 hrs but it’s always worth it.

I’ve followed your build thread on SMB forum, you do great work. I’m MSD on there as well but also a hobby vendor. I sorta have be MIA over there because work was take to much of my time. But now I’m retire so need to contribute over there like I used too.
