As a follow-up to last year's trip to the Arctic Ocean via western Canada, this year we explored the Eastern portion (Newfoundland and Labrador). We couldn't push as far north as we would have liked as there are no roads or trails of any kind, but the scenery was pretty awesome nonetheless.

Not a bad place to celebrate one's 23rd wedding anniversary after three+ days schlepping across the country to get there. We'd discovered Morrison Lake west of Lima, MT last year and vowed to spend a few nights there this time around. Glad we got there when we did (May 19) as the ice was nearly gone the following morning.

Getting some of the crazy out of our Dutch Shepherd at Lake Koocanusa just across from Yarnell Island in northwestern Montana. Havoc is half barracuda and completely oblivious to frigid water temps...or pain in general. Sigh.
