You sound like a Rangemaster kind of guy. I missed my first TacCon in a while this weekend.

    Black Bear Pass

Sway Bar Disconnect, if you have it. Our host had an older Jeep and needed his experience going down the stairs. I had a solid spotter and it was helpful. Most of it is pretty easy. Stop to take pics with your camera that you don't forget! Remember to check in on the Badge of Honor app.

    Black Bear Pass

We did Black Bear Pass this past weekend. Of course the two things I forgot was my good camera and to check in on Badges of Honor, so no trail badge. "The stairs" is no joke.

    Metal Detecting

My wife and I just started a few months ago. We share the expensive hobby problem. I bought a Garrett 150. We thought it would be a good starter unit until we were sure we'd like it. I'm looking at a 400 this month and an AT Pro later.

    What is your rigs name

I finally came up with a name: Dublin. In Gaelic, Dubh means, "dark" and Linn means "water" or "pond." It seems to fit.

    Oklahoma overlanders where ya at?

Hello from Enid! Hey, someone has to be from here. :) I'm an old pro at getting vehicles stuck on red/brown roads.

    Missouri, Oklahoma and North Texas...

I've only done the one, but I'm assuming they're overland friendly since it comes from the state. We veered off the path a few times only lease roads, etc. which were not signed. I got a map from Roman Nose state park that has the same instructions as the website. I only took one wrong...

    Missouri, Oklahoma and North Texas...

Oklahoma has several marked scenic routes. Parts of them are just highways and parts are high clearance only. https://www.wildlifedepartment.com/greatplains/gpglossmountains.htm We just did Gloss Mountain and were not disappointed. It's like a smaller version of the painted desert. There...

    Do you suffer from tinnitus....

It's a good idea to get it checked out. I started really hearing it early this year and blamed it on Pioneer, Alpine and hair bands. Then, I started getting sick a lot. It turns out, I have really serious ear infections. I put it off so long there's some damage and I still haven't shaken the...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

Eighteen pages of firearms discussion and barely a hint of discourse? I think I will enjoy this forum quite a bit. If any are interested, I'm an LE and citizen firearms instructor whose become addicted to attending classes on the topic. I've been carrying legally for 21 years. I have a few...

Hello. I just bought my first Jeep in May. It's a 2017 Rhino Rubicon. I went in to buy a Sport, but...I saw that trailed-rated Rubi and lost my self-discipline. I'm glad to have found the forum. Lots of good info and decent folks. Thanks much.
