It’s been a while. Had issues with the Espar heater connection with the controller. It will be resolved soon. It’s sitting back of the fuel tank under the car so not a two man job.
Rig is 99% done and this weekend I’ll spend on it in the Mojave with the trail guardian group mapping camp...
Work of art. Kudos mate!!!
I like the fact of using junction busses for positive and negative. I personally don’t like having the battery being used as a bus with tons of wires coming out of it. It is not safe either. This is my troopy engine bay.
I'll be coming from Flagstaff. 2 grandkids... and... fill up 50 gallons of diesel at $3.39 instead of $6.00. Save $120. That is paying for LRA tank.
Electrical done. Compressor in place. Water system and hydronic heater done. Galley in place. Finished the bench/bed and it’s headed to powder coat this week. Next upholstery with 18oz gray cotton canvas including seat covers and cushions with hard 2” foam.
Rig has 5k miles and it is SO...
Fantastic work mate. Love bringing these old rusted rigs back to life. Done it with a few old land cruisers and it's the small things that makes you happy. First engine start. First drive. First long drive. Again, kudos mate!
It's been a while since I updated here... so rig has 600 miles on it and drives like a dream. I finished welding the galley and it's going for powder coating. Electrical infrastructure in place including the control panel. Next is the bench on the driver side that opens to a bed. oh, and...
Finally rig is running after 3 years of frame off build. Put 150 miles and it is just fantastic. Looks and drives better then it left the Yoshiwara plant in Japan. Now start working on the interior.
