    2010 Dakota

After some tinkering this morning the Monroe struts do not fit. The bolt patter on the top is different. I thought the 2005 - 2010 were the same but apparently NOT. Dammit. Might not be today but will try to mount the spacers with the stock struts.

    2010 Dakota

The helper springs did not seem to lift at rest, but help when you load heavy... So it takes more weight to sag... If that makes sense.

    2010 Dakota

https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Hellwig/HE72FR.html These are the helper springs. They stiffen up your suspension and ride all the time. https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Timbren/TDDR052.html This is the Timbren SES "bump stops". They only engage when you load your...

    2010 Dakota

Thanks. Definitely something he and I can pull off. My Dakota has great factory tow hooks so we'll try to figure out how to tie the winch mount to those for strength

    2010 Dakota

If you rememebr which forum I can probably find that write up. Would be good to have an idea in my head and then pretend for my 14 year old it was my idea... LOL! I think the 285's will fit with some inner trimming for turning. Honestly I love the 255/85/16 sixe, 33" and about 9.5 inches...

    2010 Dakota

As my 2003 Tundra neared 300k miles and had several things to be done, I looked for another vehicle. I needed something for work, camper toting, work around the property and long trips. Enter the 2010 Dodge Dakota. 4.7 V8, TRX package, which includes skid plates and a positraction rear end/...

2006 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4wd SLT - "Rumble"

Well - before the deer I can say your truck looks great. And you might consider coming up with a better story than a deer... I am pretty sure you lost that bumper piece as you were trying to rescue a family in a minivan from the devastating winter snow anda cliff or something ;-)

2006 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4wd SLT - "Rumble"

So if i understand this correctly, the 1500 and the dakotas share suspension? If that is true then can wew just use 1500 parts? I have put in a message to Rancho asking about their quicklift since they have one for the 2010 1500 but nothing for the dakota. Will let you know.

I have not decided whether to lift or not. It looks like all that is available are spacer lifts. Is that what you have found? I would like just a bit more ground clearance, but don't want to do damage to the long term drive ability of the truck.

2006 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4wd SLT - "Rumble"

Glad you are posting about this. I just recently picked up a 2010 Dakota TRX4 and have been trying to find any info... which as you know is scarce. I had to replace my 2003 Tundra as my primary driver/camper carrier/family trip vehicle. I love the 4.7 and the gas mileage in comparison. I am...

    Jeep Soft Top Friendly Awning

AS I mentioned elsewhere, great idea and well executed. When I was a jeep guy I always ran soft tops and the only awning I could find was the smittlybilt one. When we moved to the truck and camper I became jeepless for the first time in my adult life. See you at AAV.

    Toyota Tundra Registry

2003 Limited 4x4... Skid row skid plates, timbren SES bumstops... no other mods...yet... It is my DD and we use it to tote our 2008 Northstar MC600 camper (see avatar) and we use it frequently around the farm. Coming from the jeep world, this is the nicest riding vehicle I have ever owned.

    1971 Jeepster Commando

First jeep in my family was a Jeep commando that my brother bought. Had the Buick v6 and an auto transmission. That is the rig that hit me with the bug for sure. Since your truck is already plenty capable I would focus on reliability as you mentioned, and anything you can do for comfort...

    2008 Northstar MC600

So we have made some improvements to the camper. I rigged a way to use our Kelty carport off the back as an awning/privacy shelter. Easy set up and Ann really likes the privacy part, especially when camping in a group. We then added our well used ARB 2500 awning to the side. I used barn door...
