Technically, the NPS can't prohibit you from flying over the National Park. What they can do is prohibit you from taking off and landing from the park grounds, much the same a NYC prohibits the same.
If you can find a location, such a a private house that exists inside the the park or boarders...
Bumping this thread since we're thinking about a trip in the spring or early summer.
What the camping options on the North Rim in March and May? How hot does it get in May there? Is it still freezing cold in March at night?
Last week a Federal judge, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, ruled that it is unconstitutional for the National Parks service to charge permit fees for commercial film making. This is a huge win for the overlanding community also for those who like to film their adventures...
Bumping this thread. Today is the last day to submit a film.
I finally got mine finished and submitted this morning. It took over 8 hours to up load. Not because it's a big film, but because our internet is so fracking slow.
If you submitted a film, post a link to it in this thread once they...
Aha! Good stuff.
I'm going to send you a PM. We'll be down there probably next weekend as we plan to visit the grave site of Geronimo as part of our OAT trip.

I'm going to submit a film. This is going to finally get us out of the house and doing some traveling this summer after the layoff and lock down. And hopefully it will force me to learn about video and editing so I can leverage those skills in my professional life too.
I think going overlanding at this point is irresponsible.
Zion is closed, along with all the rest of the national and State parks. And setting out to go camping on public land sets a bad example for the rest of the overlanding community. Unless you have access to a private camp spot owned by...
