I went with the Westin max winch tray. I’ll be adding tow hooks, chrome faceplate, and light bar at some point. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

    2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 new build

You may want to look into re-gearing the diffs when you go up to 33s too. I purchased the trailer from the US Army via GovPlanet.com

    2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 new build

Stumbled on this thread and saw that Pike outed me on my initial mistake going with 33s and 4” lift. Lol, yeah that was a doozy of a learning experience. That setup didn’t last long past my first trip to the mountains in NM. I have a build thread around here somewhere that has all the dirty...

    2013 Silverado Overland Build

I decided to go with a winch tray on my 2015. With your truck, I would go with a hidden winch mount from Rough Country, and mount it behind the stock bumper. My reasoning is that we’re already heavy and a big steel bumper is going to add a lot of weight. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

I’ve been doing some research and may end up going with this solution from Westin. Westin Max Winch Tray - 46-23685 Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

In October I completed my second trip with Jake Quinones of New Mexico Backroads. If you're looking for a way to get way out there, he's highly recommended. Here's a photo of the truck and trailer out in the Gila National Forest. Next up, will be a custom winch mount behind the stock bumper...

"Yes" And very much in air quotes... I have an aftermarket diff cover that's a little larger than stock. In some situations it will likely hit the very outside edge of the tire. To compensate, I aired down the spare to 5 psi to make it as soft and squishy as possible. I have air helper springs...

I was definitely feeling it pushing back, so I just started moving a little faster. I'll turn it down a bit next time [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

This is the move from the bottom to the top, and then the pause at the top...correct? I try to remember this but I keep feeling rushed by the wire feeding into the puddle, making it large very fast. I'm wondering if that's just me, or if the settings on the machine are that way on purpose.

I haven't had any issues with them, but I do run adjustable shocks on the rear. When not under load I keep them at 10psi. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk
