Let's see those full size rigs - Trucks & SUV

Nice looking rig! Those Yukons are roomy. I like the BFG ATs. I had them on my Jeep for a few years. Got any other plans for it in the near future?

Dang looks good. If there isn't already a review thread, you should make one. I'd love to see the interior.

    Is Overlanding Dead?

Totally agree! IMO, overlanding hasn't changed; it just has an industry behind it now with fancy marketing. The act of going out and exploring, adventuring, and camping is still the core; we just have more access to things we may want than ever before. The way I look at it is the industry...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

I'm still loving your WJ! It looks amazing and I'm sure it's a blast offroad. I'm about to sell mine. Nowhere near as nice as yours, but we had some adventures.

    Profile Radio Callsign(s)

Totally true, most people I know don't use their callsign if they have one or not. Maybe over repeaters but definitely not simplex. I still think it would be cool to have a spot for it on the profile because A) It's nice to know who else uses GMRS as it is gaining a lot of popularity...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ)

The rear bumper is important to me because I want better clearance, a hitch, and a tire carrier. I have looked at trailforged but a lot of their stuff is DIY, and I don't weld. So I'd have to get someone to do that for me. I am also looking for someone local to do some type of custom fab work.

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ)

Thanks! I am debating whether I want to trim the fenders or add flares. I live in PA, and technically, I do not comply with the law because they are strict on tires and fender flares. I have to put stock tires on to get it inspected every year. In theory if I add flares like the Bushwacker ones...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ)

Yes, I'll post some later this week hopefully. The worst part is the stock bumpers. I probably trimmed an inch or so of the body. the wiper reservoir will need to be moved at some point too. As for the rear, I haven't touched it yet, but it is right on the edge. The only saving grace is that...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ)

Last weekend I added quick-release rear seats. This was an easy mod, but it allows me to quickly remove the rear seats, which gives me another 7-8 inches of room in the back. I eventually want to create a sleeping platform, but I am going to make it sectional so that I can continue using the...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ)

I've been wanting to make a build thread for a while. Unfortunately, I have already done some work on my Jeep, so I won't write much on that stuff. I'll answer questions of course! I want to have this as a place to document future modifications. I'll leave this first post for a list of...

Is the Overlanding community killing itself

I don't think it's killing itself. Look at any other hobby. They are all the same in this respect. People always make it seem like you need to spend a ridiculous amount to get started. The truth is you just have to plan a trip and go. Lots of people overland in their stock vehicles. They do what...
