    Just another WJ

One major benefit of going with the long arms is the fact that you can adjust the axel slightly forward so that you won't have to trim as much behind the tire. Although I don't know what they will be like with 3" of lift. With 4" the long arms are at about the shorted position they can be. They...

    Just another WJ

My tires are 305/70R16. on the road, they're not too bad but occasionally they do rub so I have been looking into trimming. I only got the lift and tires on a few weeks ago.

Thanks for all the details! I have a 4" lift from IRO with long arms and I am going to need to do some trimming around the fenders and bumpers as well. So I will probably do something similar to what you did. I also really like how you mounted the antenna for your CB.

Tablet - anyone using a Lenovo tablet for Gaia?

After I saw the price on that thing I am considering getting one... That's not a bad deal at all.

    Rothrock to Bald Eagle connection

Looking forward to trying this connection out. I've been working on my jeep on and off for the last few months since COVID hit, so I have been out of commission. I need an alignment but once that's done I'll be ready to get back out on the trail. I also didn't know that the MABDR was open to...

    Let's Talk Cast Iron

I remember that my Mom would clean her cast iron by pouring salt on it and then using half a potato to scrub the salt in. Then rinse, dry, and lightly coat with oil.

    Let's Talk Cast Iron

I never thought about that, but it makes sense.

    Let's Talk Cast Iron

It's great knowing that something so simple can be so versatile as well.

    Let's Talk Cast Iron

I absolutely love cooking with cast iron but I don't normally take it with me camping. I think I am partially afraid of the care and upkeep. Even though I know that a well-seasoned piece of cast iron is just as good if not better than a non-stick pan. Something about having my precious cast iron...

    Pa roll call

Well, I just looked at Gaia and saw that you've got Wharton State Forest and PennState Forest right in the middle of the state. There should be vehicle trails around there.

Hey, how's it going? I used to live in NJ albeit on the coast. Toms River was a nice area. Do you have any recommendations for trips to NJ?

    Maglite

Sorry to hear that. In my experience mag lights always run a but hot. There is no excuse for the poor customer service though. You should try Streamlight flashlights. I have carried a Streamlight stylus pro every day for years and have never had a problem.

    Heating water under the hood

We used to heat food up in the engine bay of our humvees. Guys would get very creative with stuff like that in the field. In my experience though, it wasn't worth doing over just using the MRE heaters for the same task.

Lets talk keeping you coffee hot!

I collect mugs and cups so I wind up using different stuff all of the time. Everything from a cheap plastic bubba travel mug up to the Yeti or Pelican mugs. Usually, people get them for me as gifts. I will say though that my recent favorite has been a Miir travel cup that my wife got me.

We could always try to set up a trail cleanup sometime this year. We just need to show the state that we aren't the ones tearing up the trails.
