Definitely a favorite since it's not that far of a drive from SLC and you can camp right next to the rim. Did you do any of the hikes down into the canyon?

Did you see Cathedral Valley? IMO that's the best spot to camp in Capitol Reef - there's a small site about halfway through an offroad loop that takes you past the Temple of the Sun. It's generally too steep and narrow for RVs so there is usually space there.

Danners. Have a pair for my uniform and love them. Also have a pair of Light II's for outdoor pursuits. But I'd recommend going to a place where you can try on different styles. Regular Lights and Mountain Lights just didn't fit right - they seemed too wide and I don't even have very narrow...

For outdoor recreation, Salt Lake City is awesome - generally about 15 min to good hikes. For good 4x4 trails probably an hour or so. A 4 hour drive can basically get you to another planet.

Salt Lake City here, but always enjoy an excuse to get down south for a weekend!

It's a lot more capable than most people think! Also it's not bad to drive on a day-to-day basis.
