    Southern Utah BDR questions

Hi all. I am trying to plan a trip to do the southern portion of the Utah BDR. The entire route from Mexican Hat to Moab is about 330 miles. I was aiming to do it in 3 days at ~110mi per day. I'm in a 4x4 truck, but my group could include a dozen vehicles including some AWD (modified, lifted w/...

    Has anyone tried Maxtrax Mini?

Sadly no. I couldn’t find reviews so ended up just buying a High Lift Base.

Does anyone use a Massimo Fridge-Freezer?

I ended up returning mine. I could only trust it to keep the bottom half cold and the plug was so bad that it regularly fell out and shut the fridge off. I lost two batches of food which ruined two trips. The last time the fridge was on and in my truck locked up and then in the morning it was...

Does anyone use a Massimo Fridge-Freezer?

I have the CX30 (only one that will fit under my tonneau). It isn't perfect, but honestly it does a good job, especially for the price. I haven't tried another 12V fridge so I can't compare but my only real complaint is the temperature gradient inside the machine. Directly below the compressor...

    Has anyone tried Maxtrax Mini?

So recently I've been looking at carrying something to use as a base for jacks (hi-lift and bottle jack); I remembered that the Maxtrax Mini JaxBase was a thing, so I started looking for reviews and they're apparently not popular enough to have many reviews. I'm sure they'll function fine as a...

What's your latest camping gear purchase, and what caused you to buy it?

How are you liking the Massimo? I see Costco has it on sale today through the end of the year for $340 which seems like a steal for a 500W power station with MPPT. Do you know if it is a regulated 12v output? I can't find info on that.

    New Goal Zero Yeti 500x

Unfortunately the 500x doesn't have Anderson connectors, so you'd have to use like an Anderson to 6mm adapter.

    Feeling defeated about payload

Thanks everyone for all the replies. If nothing else it helps me to realize that I'm not just "doing it wrong" but more that I just haven't found my groove and best use case. I like the idea of taking the family on some trips and letting them get a feel for it. If they absolutely love it and...

    Feeling defeated about payload

This will help with handling the weight but it will still be over GVWR. I’m worried about safety and liability

    Feeling defeated about payload

No bumper to drop (yet), but now I don't see myself getting one at all. I was already leaning towards just a 45lb lower fascia bumper but I think that's out. The main reason I got the armor so early is because I'm completely new to all of this and I figured it was protection against my...

    Feeling defeated about payload

I've just started becoming conscious about the weight that I'm carrying on my rig. I have grand plans: bumper, winch, RTT, bed rack... all the stuff you see on kick-ass YouTube videos. Well.. tomorrow I'm taking my family on a really simple overnight trip. I decided to start adding things up...

US Rocky Mountain Northern Utah Meetup

Man, I would love to go, but my ankle is screwed up so I don't see myself being able to make the ~1hr drive. Have fun.

    New Goal Zero Yeti 500x

I don’t have a 12V fridge so maybe my input is useless, but I did test my 500X with my CPAP using 12V and it fit snuggly (had to use a moderate amount of force to remove). I suspect the Dometic plug is a bit thin as you suggested. Think you can wrap a few layers of electrical tape where it rests...
