What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Installed a very important overland item today. Cannot overland properly without one.

I need deflators. I keep putting off deflating and forgetting and regretting!

I carry a viair 400p, you made a good choice.

I'd like to get onboard air as well and put the viair in my wife's truck.

I finally got off my duff, and wired up my rear LED pods. They're currently mounted to the top of my truck bed tool box, and pointed rearward, but could be adjusted to function as camp lights.

Switch is in the cab, next to the shifter.

I'll take more photos after it gets dark tonight.

Finally replaced the run out lift struts on the gate with generic aftermarket units.

Rear shock replacement on the adventure van. I swear to god there is an engineer in Deerborn whose sole job is to modify designs to make wear items im-fucking-possible to do. It took wedging a box wrench on the top nut against the body, holding it in place with a finger (got my bear sized hand stuck at one point) and turning the nut on the shock body about 4-degrees at a time.

But wow what a difference a set of bilstein scan make to the old worn out pair!

I meant to show you at Badlands, but I bought one of these and it works really well...

I don't need to be on the roof, but I do need to get to it. I was standing on the rear seat for a while, but it requires you to fold yourself around the roof line and required at least one hand to hold yourself in position. The step is strong and stable and leaves both hands free.

Iv'e looked at those, but decided i'd rather build one that stayed on the rig, plus I like the way it looks!

If it is popular, it sticks on top anyway. hehehe

Exactly! On other forums, it has been shown that stickies, by their very nature, are ignored. People get so used to seeing them, that they become overlooked. Some forums haves many stickies that you need to scroll down to the next screen just see the first active thread. Just as we've discussed keeping the number of forums to a minimum until there are enough requests to add more, I feel stickies should be kept at a minimum, and for NOTICE or ANNOUNCEMENT type threads, not just because a topic is popular.

My two cents (and worth about that much.)
