A friend and I want to head into Oregon and explore areas around and south of Mount Hood. We are looking at mid September this year, kind of a last-minute trip, and neither of us have been in that area before.
I was wondering if anyone can share things to be wary of, specific equipment I should think about for being in Oregon in September, etc. I was also hoping people could share scenic areas, gems, places to see, things like that.
I will be traveling with a Nissan Xterra built for offloading and I will have an overland vehicle systems off-road trailer in tow. I have a decent recovery kit including traction sleds, air pump, miscellaneous tools including an E tool, prybar, various hammers and I will be bringing some power tools light and impact gun for removing bolts and nuts as needed.
Any pointers and places to go or camp at would be much appreciated, thank you all!
