What’s the best way to stay warm in my rooftop tent?

I've got a lot of room between my tent and the travel cover. I'm going to add two inches of foam insulation under the mattress. This should help keep the cold below the mattress from getting to me and my travel cover won't flap anymore.

I’ve put a Mylar sheet - the old ‘space blankets’ - under my sleeping pad or mattress.
With that, and a quilt over my down bag, I slept really comfortably under the stars at 18*F.
It helps a lot.

No insulation on tent. If no wind, open windows.
Double comforters (top layer wind proof), fleece, and a heated blanket. Thermal long johns and soft night wear. Heck, we even did triple comforters a few times. Extra weight is oddly cozy.
My Enlightened Gear down sleeping bag/quilt, is pretty hardcore. But best saved for actual backpacking. Car camping can be done with run of the mill blankets from wherever.

I’m planning to add two inches of foam insulation beneath the mattress.
I am from Wyoming and had to work to many night shifts and work out doors and -45 and camping in the winter does not really sound like a good time in Wyoming.
