Quick, scenic weekend meandering from Abiquiu eventually up to Tres Piedras
Slowly making our way towards the Tibetan Plateau...currently creekside in Jiangxi Province 
There are no designated campgrounds in China...so you need to be somewhat creative. Small town parks can offer a nice alternative to bush camping.

Spent Memorial day along the Rio Chama in NM
Drove into a beautiful jungle valley yesterday...a monkey appear up river to get a drink...large owls hootin' at night...almost seems magical...1 month into our tour back up to the Tibetan Plateau

I want to do this...in period correct clothes and equipment.
Moving up onto one of the plateaus adjacent to the Tibetan Plateau...currently at 2300m (7544ft.)...heading west through Gannan County, Gansu Province, China. We are definitely taking a step back in time...most of the harvesting is done by hand and some of the little villages we pass through are ancient.
