@HoffmanMark how are you liking it up there so far? I've gathered parts to do the exact same thing in my 4runner except putting the Baufeng handheld radio there.

That's where mine is in my Cruiser.I have an 04 4RNR, and have been trying different options. Just changed from Ram Mounts suction cup at the center of the windshield, to a ball stud on the A puller grab rail. Just curious to see what everyone else has done.

The A-pillar ball stud mount is the best option. It's more stable than suction cups, doesn't obstruct your view, and won't damage the windshield. Most 4Runner owners prefer this setup. So far the Ram Tab-Tite holder is the only one that can seem to keep my tablet (10" samsung in a protective case) reasonably secure. When using X arm style mounts and those from 67 Design and Bullet Point, the tablet slowly walks sideways on washboard roads, similar to issues some experience with 2023 polaris general accessories. Also no matter how much the mounting arms are tightened the end clamps will rotate on the arm with the weight of the tablet. The only issue with the Tab-Tite from Ram is it is a universal holder so it is a bit oversize and clunky, but does its job.
