This is a RECOVERY trip. Focus is on actually recovering a vehicle. If you can help with that - come along. If not, please skip this one.

cool, just heads up tho... my 2nd gen doesnt go very fast haha 70-75. So if youre meeting in gilroy then driving down I can meet closer to the trail so i dont slow down the crew on the highway

No problem - we can roll at that speed on the way in - this day will be all about "safe, slow and steady" for sure!

Jerry is onboard as well. I'm listing what I have with me and on the truck to use - let's build a list of gear that the experts can review and advise on. Here goes:
1.) Replacement winch line for my winch, plus another one. 85' each.
2.) Tow straps, (2), both 30'
3.) Kinetic rope 30'
4.) Shackles (4 soft, 2 hard)
5.) Snatch block (1)
6.) Traction boards (6)

Tomorrow I'll be picking up more gear and will update then (land anchor, more ropes/shackles/snatch blocks/come along/etc).

Yeah geared to go only 70-75 max anyways. So no worries. Cruising sweet spot is actually 65mph for better 'smiles per gallon'.

I have a tree saver as well. Will also consolidate lists when we get them together.

What’s the total up to so far. I don’t want to be a crowd but I can definitely lend a hand if a hand is still needed.

Looks like 3 rigs and 3 people plus myself - def wouldn’t mind a couple more, especially those with recovery experience.

I can definitely help with a winch and recovery gear.

Your truck can make it there - but we won't use it/need it. If you have experience spotting or helping with recovery - we'd love to have you. Your call.

Hi Mathew, I’d like to try and get there to help; I can assist with comms and spotting etc. I’d be coming from the south though.. any chance I can join the convoy south? What would your approximate eta in Jolon be?

We'd love to have the help! Let's aim for 7:30am at Jolon. Stay on 146.460 and we'll sync up as we get close. Not familiar with Jolon - but maybe meet at 65500 Jolon Rd, Jolon, CA 93928 - St. Luke's Episcopal Church parking lot?

Not an expert, but I have used my gear. Depending I could see vehicles linked to make a strong recovery point, so an extra vehicle might help. The snatch block can make a pulley system for extra heft. Also - haven't seen Hunter Liggett since 1981. Good excuse for a quick peek.
12" chainsaw
Warn winch
30 ft tow strap
tree saver
2 shackles
2 soft shackles
snatch block
4 boards
