Have you upgraded your bumpers? Many will support upgraded recovery points and provide better protection, approach and exit angles along with support for mounting a winch.

I hadn't thought about changing out the bumpers but that could also help with having an extra tire and maybe a jerry can

Another place that offers some is GX460/5th gen 4runner Recovery Point They used to also have a set for the 4th Gen 4Runner which I think would fit the GX 470.

Not too much to ask and doable. If you are looking to add Front recovery points w/o changing out the bumpers check out Shop | Apex Overland | Off-Road Part Accessories I have these on my 4th gen 4 runner.
