So it seems more and more members are looking at the Overland Campervan route so this is a place marker to allow specifically van overlanders to share information and support.

So lets see what you have done or are doing with your vans.

It’s at the fabricators being prepared as we speak....

Nice photo! Where is it? Somewhere in Scotland?

Cheers, Bjoern

Hi Bjoern it’s the Cairngorms in Scotland, some beautiful scenery over there

Definitely a lurker watching this thread, I'm not at the camper van point yet still prefering a TJR and SquareDrop but as I enter my 70s..... The camp, sleep, eat, drive thing in a "motorhome" sounds better every year..... I know it is inevitable.

The Orkneys is where my grandparents came from. Moving to Canada right after WWI, only 4 of 11 brothers survived that horror.

Yes, it's 4x4 with on-board air + front & rear air-lockers. I'm just finalizing the layout of the interior & waiting for some appliance orders to come in so I can start building. I want to have all appliances in-hand before building. Problem is everything is on back-order until late October / early November.

This is my Mitsubishi Delica L400 2.8 turbo diesel. With 4x4 low range and center dif lock and rear LSD. Still a long way to go but it's getting usable. Running 31-12.50-15 bf Goodrich AT's. I wanted to still be able to use 2 of the back seats and be able to quickly change to a sleeping platform. There is just enough space to sleep 2 very friendly people. Quite a lot of storage. I'm still making changes all the time as I use it.

This is my vw t5. Although it's a 2wd model it's a surprisingly capable rig especially paired with hi fly all terrain tyres and the front runner roof rack and accessories

I love taking it on local forest trails and up to dartmoor, devon, UK

We have a few more T5 owners running 2 wheel drive. check out @professorpool your nearest Rep. He run a 2wd T5 and a LR Discovery 2.

Hopefully catch you on a trip or meet in the future.
