Fuse/Relay box... Thank you Michael!

Alright ya'll. Hopefully you are all out camping and or on the trail... Unlike myself. Too many projects to get done this weekend.

Anyways, I am starting in on my biggest project of the day... The Fuse/Relay box that Michael did a video on. I have to say, this took me a minute... Okay okay, an entire day of YouTubeing... to get it BUT I am there.

Question for anyone with experience. How did you run your wiring from the accessories on your roof to your engine bay? Looking for some good suggestions.

Question for anyone with experience. How did you run your wiring from the accessories on your roof to your engine bay? Looking for some good suggestions.

There are several ways to achieve this goal... run the wires under the windshield coweling, then up the windshield trim to your roof (there is a huge void between the trim pieces and the edge of the windshield.
Second way is through a door jam.
Third way, drill a hole in the roof and get a waterproof wire gland nut to seal the roof back up.

Just got done with wiring the box, although, I am missing 1 relay. More on order.

This is very similar to the box I built originally. Then I rebuilt it using a new box I found on Amazon that shrunk the whole thing way down. New box on the left, old box on the right.

What canopy is that on your Gladiator? Am in the market for one; once I have something I'll build a "secondary" power setup back in the bed and your pretty colored light box intrigues me :)
@Life Line Overlanding - sorry got nothing for you on getting wires into the cab of a non-Jeep.

I installed a Voswitch 8 relay remote power setup last weekend - $300 on Amazon and I am impressed with the build quality. I'll never dissuade someone from DIY'ing it (and learning) but have to point out that you don't need to spend a grand to get a quality pre-built switcher setup.

I'm finishing up a 2/3 deck in the shell, and added a 17 gallon auxiliary fuel cell. ETA: the switches are color coded to the individual light location (overhead, and each of the individual gull wing windows, and are on individual dimmers)

I just finished building a new storage system, and rerouting all my secondary electrical yesterday.

The only thing I can think of that I want to add later would be a fridge, and I still have two unused spots on my fuse panel open (or maybe it was 3)...

100A panel, and if everything is running, my fuses will allow a max of 92A through the panel right now. I may look for a slightly higher amp panel before I add a fridge though.

Looks good! The A.R.E. is definitely the best looking Gladiator canopy (IMO) but I was unaware that they come with gull wings on the sides (thought sliders only). Thanks!!! As it sinks in I think I am loving the idea of a fuel cell.

@reaver - looking good! We may be buzzing through your neck of the woods next July taking @Heidi on a trip to see her family in CA, really want her to see the stretch between Caldwell and Jordan Valley. Going to PM you and @M Rose :)

I only plan to use the fuel cell when the distance between stations is great enough to justify it, or if I am going to be offroad for extended periods. Otherwise I don't need the weight.

I don't dig the momma opposum, shit strapped all over it look, but that's a personal thing. 3 Jerry cans or a crop of Rotopax is harder to manage and will cost about the same. Call it "passive fuel capacity".
