Just a mid day dirt road drive. Pulled up and found a cop driving a challenger had tried to turn around and got one of his front tires wedged into a rut. A couple of strategic acceleration maneuvers (flooring it throwing dirt and rocks EVERYWHERE and creating quite the scene) eventually got him out. He will have fun cleaning his car up this evening lol. On a serious note, I am glad he was out there. This area used to be pretty rough.

Went up to Mt. Whitney this week, climbed it. The drive always takes me by Vasquez Rocks, Star Trek fans may recognize it as the site of the now the infamous fight between Capt. James T. Kirk and the Gorn. I've always said I should stop and check it out, so this time I did just that. Pretty neat area and some really cool rock formations. Of course I had to snap a picture of Sylvie with the famous rock.
