Transplanted Texan living in Germany 7 years and many to go. Bought my dream rig (Toyota Hilux) 3 years ago and slowly getting it ready for some Overlanding. First big trip will be a 1000+km jaunt from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic through the Pyrenees mountains of Northern Spain/Southern France. Started off with a slick finish on the paint (gotta look good), dropped some Method Racing wheels on the 4 corners, and have a a few more necessities to go. The ‘Lux is no rocket, but it pulls like a beast with the Turbo Diesel.

Welcome to the Crew from one transplant to another. Love the Hilux. What motor do you have - the GD or KD? I’ve got a J150 with the 1KD. Hope to see you on the trail or at a meet up.
 
Okay, the GD. “Relatively” new but I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about the it. I’m in Germany, Hessen.
