New to this community, but not to overland style travel. I currently have a residence in the mountains of NE Georgia, but work keeps me traveling around the country. I have the overland travel starter kit: a 2016 Tacoma 4x4, M101A2 military trailer and a CVT Mt. McKinley tent. I've previously owned F150's, Rangers, Explorers and a JK Wrangler. All of them saw their fare share of overland travel and back country exploring.

When I'm not traveling for work you'll find me camping, fishing or hiking. (But only when the honey-do list is knocked down to reasonable proportions.) Looking forward to seeing what this community has to offer.

Welcome to the community!

Jace here, from Central Oregon (The High Desert). Recently made the decision to keep an 98 Forester and turn it into my Overland rig instead of spending money on something else. Make use of what's available. Everything is on a skimpy budget, so it makes sense.

REALLY looking forward to going out and having some solid adventures in the very near future.

Welcome to the OB community!

Hey everyone, located in east Alabama. I have a couple of friends who are heavily into the overland lifestyle and they talked me into building my own rig. I've always been into camping, hiking, kayaking, nature photography, and being outdoors- but completely new to this. As of today I don't really have the ideal vehicle- an 07 Expedition 2wd -but I am dipping my toes in the water by taking it on smaller adventures that my vehicle is capable enough doing while also adding some non-permanent modifications to it until I can trade it in for a 4runner/xterra/tacoma. My previous vehicle was an 02 Ranger 4x4 with lift, tires, winch, etc. Great truck, I would love to buy another one but I need a 4 door. Anyways, hope to learn a lot here. Thanks

Pilot : B, 25 yo, human, fitness enthusiast, slightly crazy.

Co-Pilot: Fritz, 3yo, Belgian Malinois rescue, very crazy.

Location : Denver Colorado

Experience : Car guy since forever. Got my (first) truck fall 2014, intended to leave it stock... That idea fell apart when I moved and realized I would be smashing my mileage limit, and therefore buying the truck at the end of lease.
I like dirt roads and camping and hiking, but I'm relatively new to offroading.

Rig: 2015 Chevy Colorado Z71 4x4
Lots of little mods but these are the major ones...
-Icon VS 2.5 Series Front Coilovers and
VS 2.0 Series Rear Shocks
-Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265/70R17 (31.7"Dia)
-Superskidz Aluminum Skid Plate
-Rear Seat Delete Platform (prototype... Better version coming soon)

Hoping to learn and share a lot on here. Seems like a solid crew. I love the variety of different rigs and sense of community there seems to be.
Looking forward to lots of camping and exploring this summer.
