Hopefully, we can work on this. It alwasy great to have a strong local meet ups.
 
There's a good chance of me hitting both if time allows since I'm right between them in San Marcos.
 
I am new to join and have never been Overlanding. I want to get involved though. And when I do get to vacation, Overlanding is what I want to do. That being said, I can't ever get out because I own my own restaurant with my Brother. (a place to maybe meet if you all are interested)
It is a burger joint Beer garden called Tycoon Flats - It's a perfect spot for a weekday meet up. Mondays would be perfect. I know the owner so we would be getting discounts. :) We are a family place so kids are welcome.
I really need to talk to some experienced folks because I have nothing as far as gear, I maybe have a rig but it still needs tons of work.
Let me know what you guys think.

Hey man welcome to the forum.

I'm new on here as well and overlanding is fairly new to me as well. I moved here from California and I'm looking for new adventure out here in SATX. My co-workers who love to camp say that PINS is a cool spot to check out. Maybe we can get a group together and make a camp trip out there :)

I would definitely roll by a meetup for a while. My schedule is hard to nail down in the summer, but if a meetup is organized and I'm available that day, I'd be there.

I am going to try Hosting First Monday Meetings in San Antonio @ 5:30Pm - here at Tycoon Flats - 2926 N St Marys 78212 TycoonFlats.net I will have an area marked for us just to hang out, have a beer or Margarita, Coke or tea, and eat if you want to. Tycoon Flats is Most definitely Family Friendly so bring your Crew! The first Meeting will be Monday July 2nd. I will put a Rally Point in. Hope to see everyone soon.

Good meetup! Look forward to expanding this event! Good food and good beer and the patio area wasn’t so dang hot, shaded and cool! We should keep this up!
 
Sad I missed it. Works been kicking my butt the past week or so.

I’ll hopefully be there next month tho!

I am from Corpus Christi and am interested in making a meet up. Im off on Mondays so that would work perfect.
