What engine does it have?

I got to see/listen to a 4.0 XJ when in Holland and loved the sound that engine made! :D

Yeah it’s the 4.0, love straight 6’s.

Then it turns out the cat is clogged up and is keeping it from running any kind of rpms. So this happened.
What exactly is that?.

It’s a catalytic converter in the exhaust that helps with emissions. But where I live there aren’t vehicle inspections so I cut the converter out of the exhaust and knocked out the platinum inside (so it hollow or empty) then welded it back up.
