Wondering what everyone does with awnings in the winter time .
I am planing to uninstall the awning as to not get the salt spray such while i drive during the winter weather.

It likely depends on where folks live. Members in Florida probably keep them on. ;)

Here in northern Ohio, I've taken mine off every winter. Lots of salt and brine. It only takes about ten minutes to remove, and 20 to reinstall in the spring. It also makes it possible to go through the no-touch car wash without all that stuff on the roof.

Salt spray? Driving through the ocean? Lol

I'll say that the snow birds (northerners who come to Texas and other southern states to avoid white fluffy stuff and sub-freezing temps) tend to wash their awnings and rigs out very thoroughly if they don't make it to the south before salt application.

I'm curious if the awning material gets brittle in low temps and potentially gets damaged from road vibrations.
