Yukon and The Dempster Hwy to Tuktoyaktuk

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I am looking at making the trip from central Alberta to Tuk in mid to late August. Route includes Banff, Jasper, Grande Cache, to Dawson Creek (Alaska Hwy Mile 0) then north. Would be great to caravan with other members. Bring your fishing rod - great fishing in the far north.

Great trip. My wife and I spent last summer driving to Alaska and Canada. 13,000 miles in three months. We drove to Deadwood and Tuk. Both fantastic drives.

Here is a link to an article published in TCT magazine on the Deadhorse trip. Part two should be coming out shortly and the third installment , our trip to Tuk after that.

If you have any questions about the trip feel free to ask.

Here is a link about a similar trip . Truck prep for the Dempster Highway

I found the best resource for the trip to be the Milepost book.
