I know a good majority of the routes around these parts (northern Colorado/Wyoming) close down for the winter, but are there any decent winter routes worth exploring even as a day trip or aone nighter?

Seven Mile in the Poudre Canyon. It’s not too high elevation and there’s plenty of secluded camping. Switzerland trail next to Boulder is fun after a big snow. Off of the peak to peak highway there’s also Bunce School Road, Rollins Pass East (go until the snow turns you around), Pickle Gulch, and Yankee Hill. Yankee Hill is a maze of trails with nice views and camping, but go prepared because people get stuck out there all the time. Those are just a few I can think of.
