Yesterday's drive on Durr Road in the Wenas Wildlife Area. The area is burnt from the Evans Canyon Fire.

Looks like the dirt road, made a fairly good firebreak. Helped them get a upper hand, by slowing it's advance. What another mess this year has been. How much aerial seeding is done to mitigate erosion? CA is where you always hear about mudslides following massive burns. Other states or areas, not so much. Here in southern NV, you can still see the former fire scars from 60-80 years ago in some places. Regrowth is so slow when compared to high rainfall areas. I was amazed at before, after, and post 20 year pictures of the devastation area from Mount St Helen's. The bounce back was fantastic over time.

Stay safe out there!
