upgraded to an Odyssey PC1500 AGM when i put my winch on and it's been bulletproof. the stock battery in the JK just doesn't have the cranking amps to handle a long winch pull without voltage drop. if you're pulling more than a couple times in a day the stock battery will cook itself. the dual battery setups are nice but overkill for most people unless you're also running a fridge and lights off the battery at camp. just get a quality AGM with 800+ CCA and make sure your alternator is healthy. also run proper gauge cable to the winch, undersized wire is the number one issue i see with winch installs.
