Spring in the Eastern Sierra is a great time to hunt for wild flowers while overlanding. I came across a great general resource book that people might enjoy. Here is the link.

I highly recommend the hike from the top of Carson Pass to Winnemucca Lk once the snow melts. There is an awesome field of wildflowers that has to be seen to be believed. I just checked the snow depth and it will be a while though! There are 130"s of snow at Carson Pass today!!!
