I have a '96 Hummer with the GM 6.5TD. Just wondering how many other full sized overland rigs also use this powerplant.
Are there overland specific tools, parts, accessories that you carry with you to keep your beast running?
One recommendation I have is to relocate your injection pump driver (a little black box containing some electronics) sometimes known as the PMD or FSD to somewhere other than being bolted to your injection pump. The stock location is too hot and can end up cooking those electronics. A failing FSD can create failure to start conditions and/or stall your engine.
