Where to mount MaxTrax.

I've only seen this done once in person, but I'm seriously considering putting them on the hood. It's the only place on the rig where they'll be easy to get to and aren't in the way. Any reason this is a bad idea? I don't care if it looks weird. Form follows function.

The person that I saw had them on the hood of a 4Runner, and said that the noise was horrendous on the highway.

@Felipe Reyes is the guy I met...

He didn't mention any noise. I'm hoping the deflector on the front of my hood will help.

That's who it was. It was either on Instagram or T4R.org where someone asked him about the mount. He said he was removing it because it was so noisy, but that was at least a month or two ago. Maybe he changed his mind.

I talk to him, and took that photo, the Tuesday before Overland Expo. Maybe @Felipe Reyes can chime in here, and give us some insight.

LOL. No worries! Good news for me, because I had just ordered 8 mounting pins :-)
I'm curious to know how this turns out ... looks awesome on the hood ... Please update after you get them mounted and take them out on the trail.

UV light and age consideration but that's gonna happen along any parallel of the vehicle. Especially north of the 45th parallel
