US West Where to go in July

Trying to figure out a trip for around July 8-15. Initially was hoping to do the Plumas BDT but I'm concerned about the snow level as well as water crossings. So, I started looking at the Shasta-Trinity NF but looks like Tamarack Lake may still have snow as well. Anybody been out and about in the Sierra and/or Cascades? Looking for some real time intel on conditions out there.
