What to do/where to go in the week before Expo?

I have some re-cert training the weekend before Expo East in Bryson City, and I was looking for suggestions on cool camp sites/ trails, or any suggestions really on what to do or where to stay in the interim week! Thanks and I hope to see a few of you at Expo. I'll be medical volunteering there!
 
We've spent some time out in the Pisgah just south of Asheville. Though I didn't find many trails in that particular part, the waterfalls are stunning and worth the trip if you don't get much of that. Specifically, Court House Falls, Skinny Dip Falls and Looking Glass.

I haven't taken part yet, but Hurricane Creek gets a lot of kudos from members out here.
