where I live, in a forest, there are hundreds of steam donkeys in various states of decay. steam powered winches to haul logs. they were pretty light and easily moved to new logging cuts

Steam is an amazing power source. Most of our Aircraft Carriers and Nuclear Power Plants are steam powered, the nuclear part only boils the water.
