What did you get for christmas?

Camping at Big Bend with the family for the holidays was my best present. The oldest is in college and the youngest is about to graduate and it won't be long and opportunities like this will be few and far between...

My wife gave me some Lowe's cards for tools. Want to get a 3/8" or 1/2" impact driver for the Jeep. Any suggestions? Dewalt kinda pricey but pretty common

As a contractor, I used a lot of impacts and initially went with Makita and later Milwaukee. I saw a lot of Dewalt out on jobs and they seemed to hold up well. I think all of the big brands are now brushless with Lithium batteries and honestly all seem to be about equal...I just got hooked on Milwaukee, but they fail too. Lowes has a 20v Dewalt impact for $99. It has the smaller battery for that price

Yeah, but he has LOWES cards...Home Depot has Milwaukee and Lowes has Dewalt and Crapsman.

Lowes used to have Milwaukee.

Swap them with someone that has Home Depot cards. :smirk:

Each of my Labs got a new stuffed toy, I got one last white Christmas with my 10 year old Lab and a very nice cigar.

All in all a great Christmas!

I've had labs my whole life. They are the best dogs on the planet in my opinion. Have our 14 year old chocolate laying next to me with her head on my lap as I'm typing this...

I put my 10 year old yellow Lab Max to sleep on the 27th of last month. My 8 month old chocolate is snoring away with his head in my lap as I'm typing.

The dewalts have been around a lot more but ive had Milwaukee, Makita (still have) and dewalt and they all do decent jobs as long as the battery is good so any will do.
I finally gave in and got a snap on impact after using my friends for awhile and its got more balls then any of my others but that's too much coin to spend if your not using it daily.

Definitely go 1/2". My buddies 3/8" Dewalt couldn't break the lugs on my Ram 2500. The 1/2" could though.

I got a usb rechargeable blender from my mother in law. Now i can do bulletproof coffee while camping. Thats a sideaffect pf being a chef, every christmas i get kitchen gadjets :)

What has this world come to?

A blender that can travel into the wild, and it is being used for coffee instead of margaritas?

wobbity-wobbity-wobbity
(sound of gray matter rattling around in cranial cavity)

I knew the older I would get the more I would feel out of touch, but I never expected it to take this direction.

GF got me a standing rotisserie grill for camping, along with a $100 gift card to this very nice butchery. Plan to try a pound of the wagyu steak they are known for.
Cant wait to use it.
